Board approves appointments, highway fund transfer

NH NEWTON — Newton Board of Selectmen approves appointments and highway fund transfer. Selectmen unanimously approved the appointment of Daria Grisanzio to the Recreation Commission and reappointed Diane Morin, Patricia Masterson, and Sarah Woodman to the Cable Committee, with all terms expiring April 30, 2029. The board authorized a transfer of $130,320.60 in Highway Block Grant Funds and accepted a $500 donation to the Food Pantry from the Kingston Lions Club Foundation.
Police Chief DiFlumeri reported that officers Richard Kane and Gregory Cinelli completed academy training and the department received favorable feedback on its new School Resource Officer program.
