Zoning board approves variance for Chase Road subdivision

Zoning Board of Adjustment · Meeting of January 7, 2026

NH NEWTON — Newton zoning board approves variance for Chase Road subdivision. The Zoning Board of Adjustment unanimously voted to allow Troy Young and Tammy Verani to divide their property at 21 Chase Road into two lots of 6.7 and 4.25 acres on January 7. Chairman Jack Kozec led the board through separate unanimous votes on all five statutory variance criteria before approving the 46-foot variance as shown on the revised plan dated November 25, 2025.

The board determined the subdivision would not violate zoning objectives and that denial would cause hardship to the applicants.
