Selectmen Elect Guide as New Chairman

NH NEWTON — Newton Board of Selectmen reorganizes leadership and approves staffing. Daniel Guide was unanimously elected Chairman and Michael Connolly Vice-Chairman at the March 17 meeting. The five-member board approved $41,200 in funds for the Gale Library Trustees and unanimously hired James Collier as part-time police officer and Marcus Jordanhazy as Firefighter EMT Basic at $21.50 hourly.
The board approved a payroll manifest of $91,772 and directed Treasurer Lisa Gonyer to present quarterly financial reports.
