Recreation Commission approves $1,500 for spring events

NH NEWTON — Newton Recreation Commission votes $1,500 for spring recreation. Vice Chairman Joe Simone moved to allocate $1,000 for a Gametime School Vacation event on February 25, subsidizing the per-person cost for bowling, games, pizza, and water. Chairman Peggy Connors seconded; the four-member board unanimously approved.

The commission also allocated $500 for a St. Patrick's Day cookie-decorating event on March 14, and will continue planning additional spring events including an Easter Egg Hunt and town-wide yard sale.
