Planning Board names Papachristos chair, extends North Main Street permit

NH NEWTON — Newton Planning Board reorganizes with new leadership and extends terrain modification permit. The board unanimously elected Mr. Papachristos as chair and Mr.

Berard as vice chair, welcoming new members Mr. Duncan and Ms. Nelson.

The board unanimously approved extending the terrain modification permit for 104 North Main Street to August 25, 2026, allowing continued work on wetland impacts and septic system requirements. A 220-unit multifamily development designated a project of regional impact in Kingston will be discussed by the Kingston Planning Board on April 7th, with Newton notified as an abutting community.
