Planning Board defers decisions, reschedules after lack of quorum

Planning Board · Meeting of April 14, 2026

NH NEWTON — Planning Board postpones decisions on two applications after members fail to achieve quorum. Vice Chairman Daniel Berard and Rachel Nelson were the only members present at Tuesday's meeting, preventing formal action on a design review for Devaney Energy's 4,500-square-foot propane distribution facility at Industrial Way and the Dubay Group's two-lot subdivision of Chase Road. Public comment on the Devaney project raised concerns about pipeline safety, groundwater protection, truck noise, and notification of abutters on Ridgewood Road.

The board will reschedule both applications for April 28, 2026, with the town re-noticing abutters at its own expense.
