Planning Board approves Industrial Way warehouse conversions

NH NEWTON — Newton Planning Board unanimously approves two Industrial Way warehouse conversions for 125 Development. The board approved B&M Office Installations' conversion of 120 Industrial Way to office furniture warehouse operations with 15 employees, limited to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Saturday, and approved 70 Industrial Way Unit B for warehouse operations converting unused cheerleading gym space. Circuit Rider Planner Jennifer Rowden attached strict conditions including no hazardous materials storage, no fertilizer use on site, and satisfaction of all prior site plan conditions before occupancy permits are issued. Public comment raised concerns about gas pipeline easements and groundwater impacts, which the board said fall outside Planning Board enforcement authority.
