Gale Library approves community board policy

NH NEWTON — Gale Library Board approves revised community posting policy at March 11 meeting. Director Michelle Baker reported major heating problems that required hiring an electrician and snow and ice removal challenges that forced a temporary library closure and postponement of programs. Facilities Maintenance Technician Robert Kyslovsky has overseen installation of new heating strips on the roof's north and back sections.
The board accepted the 2023 audit and donations of books and puzzles. The library is hiring an additional Library Assistant Substitute to address staffing needs.
