Board of Selectmen · Meeting of March 3, 2026

NH NEWTON — Newton selectmen approve $63K school impact fee reimbursement. The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved a $63,258.32 transfer from the Impact Fees account to the general fund to reimburse school-related expenses paid in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Chairman Robert Marchand Jr., Vice Chairman Joseph Simone Jr., and Selectman Daniel Guide also unanimously approved two All-Veterans Tax Credits for 2026 and a consent agenda including payroll and vendor payments totaling $85,108.74.

The board declined to use the transfer fund to offset taxes, citing concerns about account depletion and future tax rate increases.
