Board appoints Deputy Treasurer, interim Facilities Tech

NH NEWTON — Newton Board of Selectmen unanimously names Michelle Fobert as Deputy Treasurer pending background check. Fobert, a resident with finance-industry experience, discussed her qualifications with the board; Town Treasurer Gonyer requested authorization for bank access once the background check clears. In related staffing changes, selectmen unanimously accepted Facilities Technician Bob Kysilovsky's resignation and approved re-hiring Mark Botsch as Interim Facilities Maintenance Technician at $25.68 per hour.
Three ex officio appointments were also made: Robert Marchand, Jr., to Planning Board, Joseph Simone, Jr., to Conservation Commission, and Ashley Silvia to Recreation Commission.
